What is Dye Sublimation??
You might ask!!
Dye sublimation is a process where
special sublimation inks are used to create an image via a printer and
computer software, then heat pressed onto an object. After the inks
reach a certain temperature they change into a gas and impregnate the
material fibers or with solid objects the polymer coating. Upon cooling
the ink dries and forms a bond with the object resulting in a permanent
photo quality design.
This is not a new technology and is said
the inks can remain unaffected on washable items for 30 years! Unlike
other methods which tend to peel, crack and fade in time, and sometimes
after the first wash! Dye sublimation is a cost effective alternative
with great results that can go only as far as your imagination.
Because of the process we use and the
special inks needed to create such a great result. We are limited to
using only products that are white or a light colour and are polyester
or have a polyester coating. Because the inks actually impregnate the
material and don’t just sit on top like other methods, it is necessary
to have a plain white or light coloured background to achieve maximum
picture quality.
Our prints will not fade, crack or peel
even after 30 years of washing!
